Not sure where to start? Our Community Hubs are open both weekends of East Bay Open Studios. Community Hubs host multiple artists at their locations, so see multiple creative voices. We thank our Community Hubs partners across the East Bay who graciously open their spaces to artists who need access to space to showcase their work.

The BEAM | 1189 65th st, oakland
The BEAM is a community focused build shop located in North Oakland.
We provide fully equipped professional grade metal, wood and light fab shops, dedicated bench spaces, a community room space for teaching and street facing gallery for showing work. The BEAM’s mission is to help people create, collaborate and connect.

Zero Empty Space | 2036 Shattuck, Berkeley
Zero Empty Spaces Berkeley is transforming the former Half Price Books storefront into a community-focused destination for local art, creative entrepreneurship, and downtown revitalization. The Berkeley location brings together artists, makers, designers, and other creative entrepreneurs in an accessible storefront environment designed to increase visibility, create opportunities to connect directly with the public, and bring productive new activity to one of Downtown Berkeley’s most prominent previously vacant commercial spaces. Locate in the Downtown Berkeley, the activation builds on Zero Empty Spaces’ broader mission of unlocking closed doors to create affordable creative space while supporting foot traffic, cultural activity, and local economic development.
The space is open to the public daily from 12:00 to 5:00 pm, while resident artists have 24/7 access.

EinwillerKuehl Landscape Architecture is an award-winning landscape architecture and urban design practice. Located on Oakland's 25th Street, home to numerous gallery and maker spaces, the firm enjoys collaborating with and celebrating local artists.

Makers Workshape is a vibrant community of creatives: designers, fine artists, makers and more. Located in Berkeley's bustling Gilman District, they offer private studios of various sizes on a month-to-month basis.

The Grand Gallery is a large gallery and exhibition space located in Jack London Square.
frank bette center | 1601 Paru, alameda
The Frank Bette Center for the Arts is a nonprofit, volunteer-run creative community. Carrying forward the legacy of Frank Bette, who believed deeply in the power of art and community. Upon his passing in 1999, Frank bequeathed his beloved home as "a place for meetings, readings, showings, and other creative doings."
